The decisive action comes in the wake of relentless pressure, strong condemnation, and a definitive ultimatum issued by the Pune Bar Association, which had warned of severe state-wide agitations if immediate penal and administrative action was not taken against the erring officer.
The incident had sent shockwaves through the legal community across Pune district, prompting an immediate and unified response from senior office-bearers, members of the bar, and legal professionals. Demonstrating unwavering solidarity, a powerful delegation of advocates rushed to meet with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone VII) Abinash Kumar to impress upon the administration the absolute gravity of the situation and the urgent need for systemic accountability.
The high-level representation was led by prominent figures of the legal fraternity, including Pune Bar Association President Adv. Ram Bhujbal, Vice President Adv. Kantaram Napte Patil, Adv. Prataprao More, Secretary Adv. Samrat Jambhulkar, Adv. Abhijit Pol, Adv. Neha Jambhale, Treasurer Adv. Anjali Bandal, Auditor Adv. Pooja Pawar, Auditor Adv.
