In a heartening initiative to make justice accessible to all, top law universities across Maharashtra have launched a unique traveling legal aid program. Groups of senior law students, closely supervised by experienced law professors and pro-bono trial lawyers, are boarding specially equipped mobile clinic vans to bring free legal help directly to rural areas and distant farming communities outside major cities.

These mobile legal clinics are designed to help ordinary citizens who cannot afford expensive city lawyers or are too intimidated to visit a formal court complex. Students assist locals with common issues, such as checking land records, filing consumer complaints against faulty agricultural equipment, and drafting basic affidavits for government welfare schemes.

Beyond providing immediate legal support, the student teams are running interactive workshops to raise awareness about common digital financial scams, predatory local loan sharks, and domestic rights. This program gives future lawyers valuable real-world experience while offering a vital, cost-free legal safety net to communities that need it most.
