In a significant bail order, the Hon’ble Bombay High Court granted bail to Ravi Baliram Telange in Bail Application No. 3266 of 2026 arising out of C.R. No. 51 of 2026 registered with Bhosari Police Station.
The case was registered for offences punishable under Sections 109, 115(2), 118(1), 3(5) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The applicant had been in custody since 4 February 2026.
The matter was heard by the Hon’ble Justice Milind N. Jadhav. The applicant was represented by Adv. Gaurav Kakade along with Adv. Alpesh Vegad and Adv. Pradip Naik.
While considering the bail application, the Hon’ble High Court prima facie observed that the incident had occurred on the spur of the moment following an altercation among friends and that there appeared to be no premeditation or prior planning. The Court also noted that the applicant had no criminal antecedents and observed a prima facie variance between the eyewitness/first informant’s version and the medical evidence regarding the location of the injury.
Accordingly, the Court directed his immediate release on a P.R. Bond of ₹10,000 with one surety of the like amount, subject to conditions including cooperation with the trial, monthly reporting to the Investigating Officer, not leaving Maharashtra without prior permission of the Trial Court, and not influencing witnesses or tampering with evidence.
The Court clarified that its observations were limited strictly to deciding the bail application and would not affect the trial on merits.
